Crystal Palace agree £12.5million deal for West Ham defender

Crystal Palace have agreed a £12.5million deal to sign West Ham defender James Tomkins according to reports.

Earlier this week, Football Faithful brought you news of Crystal Palace’s interest in signing the defender, and now we can reveal that the clubs have come to an agreement over the transfer of 27-year old.

Tomkins could complete his transfer to the South London club as early as today, and would become the clubs third signing within the last 24 hours following the arrival of Andros Townsend and Steve Mandanda.

Palace’s summer spending spree doesn’t look like ending soon, as they look to secure a deal to sign Liverpool striker Christian Benteke. The Eagles tabled a £25million bid for the striker yesterday, but Liverpool are thought to be holding out for £30million.
