Former Manchester United hero Cristiano Ronaldo is at it again. He has admitted that one day he’d like to return to Manchester, but admits he doesn’t know when or if it’ll be a possibility. He has previous of saying stuff like this, and shortly afterwards a shiny new Real Madrid contract seems to land on his doorstep…
This time it seems different though. He still has four years left on his Real Madrid deal, and when you couple that with Manchester United’s big summer spending spree – The Old Trafford side seemingly do have the funds to make it happen.
‘I love Manchester,’ he says.
‘Everyone knows that — I have said it many times. Manchester is in my heart. I left many good friends there, the supporters are amazing and I wish I can come back one day.’
He added: ‘I really did love being at Manchester United,’ he says. ‘Believe me, they will be a good team again, I’m sure of it. It is a great club.’
With concerns about an ongoing knee problem, and the emergence of Gareth Bale and James Rodriguez in Madrid, maybe Fiorentino Perez is keen to move Ronaldo on at some point on the not too distant future. He’ll be thirty next summer, meaning he’s closing in on the inevitable downward spiral of a footballers career. Who knows? It may just happen…
