Coutinho agrees new Liverpool deal

Liverpool playmake Philippe Coutinho has agreed a new five-and-a-half year deal at the club.

The Brazilian moved to Anfield from Inter Milan in 2013. Since then he has developed into one of the Premier Leagues top talents and one of Liverpools most important players – prompting the club to tie his future down until 2022.

He had been linked with a move to Barcelona and even if those rumours persist, the new deal means that Liverpool will be able to command a top figure for him.

The deal makes him Liverpool’s highest paid player, where he will now earn around £150,000-a-week.

He has scored 34 goals in 163 appearances for the Reds and aged just 24, the Brazilian is still someway from hitting his peak.

Where does Coutinho rank amongst the Top Premier League players? Is he the best player at Liverpool? Leave us a comment below.
