Chelsea winger asks to quit the club

With less than 36 hours to go until the transfer window closes, one Chelsea winger has asked Antonio Conte to leave the club.

According to the London Evening Standard, Juan Cuadrado has approached the new Chelsea boss to ask his permission to grant him a transfer back to Serie A.

The Columbian moved to Stamford Bridge from Fiorentina in 2014 but failed to settle at the club and spent last season on loan with Serie A champions Juventus.

Juventus are believed to be interested in taking the winger back to Turin on loan with a view to making the transfer permanent for around £22million next summer. The player is believed to have asked for Conte’s permission to quit Chelsea in order to return to the club.
