Chelsea told to forget about signing this world class manager over the summer

Chelsea FC will have Guus Hiddink in charge until the summer at the very earliest, but the club have already confirmed that they’ll be looking to appoint a permanent coach over the summer. The man on the lips of everyone at Stamford Bridge seems to be Massimiliano Allegri, but the London Evening Standard claim that won’t happen.

The English publication say that Juventus have told Chelsea officials to ‘forget about’ signing Allegri this summer, with the Italian coach clearly happy with the job he is doing with the Serie A side at the moment.

If this is the case, Chelsea will certainly have to broaden their horizons in terms of searching for a new manager. Perhaps a move for Tottenham Hotspur’s Mauricio Pochettino could be on the cards, or even a swoop for Atletico Madrid’s Diego Simeone…
