Chelsea to make their move for Serie A defender

Chelsea are preparing to make a last ditch move to sign Serie A defender Giorgio Chiellini from Juventus.

According to the Sun on Sunday, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte will make a £25million move for the defender before the end of the window as he looks to strengthen his Blues defence.

Conte wants to ease the workload on his ageing defenders John Terry and Gary Cahill and will make a move for the Juventus defender. The Italian manager has already worked with Chiellini during his time as Juventus and more recently Italy manager.

He is an important part of the Italian Champions’ squad, who are reluctant to sell any more star players after losing Paul Pogba to Manchester United for a World a Record fee.

Chelsea have also been linked with Kalidou Koulibaly of Napoli who is valued at over £40million.
