Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi is being linked with a January transfer to La Liga.
The 24-year-old has made just two Premier League starts this season with most of his appearances coming in the cup competitions or from the bench.
The Belgian has still managed to score seven goals in 19 appearances in all competitions for the Blues this season, but he is seen as no more than a back-up to Alvaro Morata by Blues boss Antonio Conte. Even in Morata’s absence, Batshuayi has still found opportunities difficult to come by, with Conte sometimes choosing to play Eden Hazard as a striker.
Chelsea are thought to be in the market for a new striker, with Andy Carroll having being linked with a shock move to Stamford Bridge in recent weeks. Any new arrivals could see Batshuayi’s opportunities further restricted.
Batshuayi is concerned that a lack of game time could impact on his chances of being involved in the Belgian national squad for this summer’s upcoming World Cup in Russia.
Now, according to ESPN, La Liga side Sevilla are interested in signing the former Marseille striker on loan.
Chelsea are thought to be willing to allow Batshuayi to leave the club, but only if they can sign a replacement.
