Chelsea striker Diego Costa has shocked the club by demanding a move away from Stamford Bridge this summer.
The striker joined The Blues in 2014 in a £32million move, becoming an instant hit in the Premier League scoring 21 goals in his debut season as Chelsea stormed to the Premier League title. However, the 28-year old’s form suffered last season, as Chelsea embarked upon the worst title defence in Premier League history.
The Daily Star claims that the Spain striker has become disallusioned with life in England and has now rocked the club just days before pre-season training by insisting on being sold, with a move back to former club Atletico Madrid most likely to happen.
The newspaper claims that talks between the two clubs will take place this week, after the Champions League finalists made their £40million move for their former striker.
Chelsea have already agreed a £33million deal to sign Belgium striker Michy Batshuayi, as well as maintaining an interest in Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata who is available for around £40million.
