Chelsea to raid Leicester again?

Chelsea have been linked with having an interest in signing another one of Leicester City’s Premier League title winning heroes.

Sky Sports are reporting that the newly crowned champions of England are looking at Leicester midfielder Danny Drinkwater as a potential replacement for Nemanja Matic. Matic completed a £35m transfer to Manchester United on Monday, and despite already having signed Tiemoue Bakayoko for a similar fee, Antonio Conte is looking for further reinforcements.

Leicester are not under any pressure to sell Drinkwater, who only signed a new four-year deal with the Foxes last summer.

However, should Chelsea move for Drinkwater, it would represent an opportunity to link up with N’Golo Kante, who made the move from the East Midlands to West London last summer. Drinkwater and Kante made a formidable partnership in the centre of midfield on the way to the Premier League title.

Chelsea have also been linked with making a move for Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches, who will be allowed to the the Bundesliga champions on loan.

Would a move to Chelsea be a good move for Drinkwater? Would Drinkwater be a good addition to Chelsea’s squad? Leave us a comment
