Brighton and Aston Villa line up move for Liverpool midfielder

Brighton and Aston Villa have joined the race to sign Liverpool midfielder Marko Grujic.

The Serbian has struggled to break into the Liverpool first team since arriving at the club in 2016.

Since arriving from Red Star Belgrade for a fee of around £5m last summer, Grujic has made just seven Premier League appearances for the Reds and needs valuable competitive game time to continue his development, rather than playing in the much maligned U23 League.

Turkish giants Galatasaray have been linked with the midfielder, although Jurgen Klopp would prefer him to stay in England to get used to the English game.

According to the Liverpool Echo, Premier League newcomers Brighton and Championship side Aston Villa have joined the race to secure his services.
