Manchester United have been handed a boost with the news that Zlatan Ibrahimovic has returned to training.
The former Sweden international stunned all in football world by returning from a serious knee injury after just seven months out of action.
He made 7 appearances since his return, but suffered a slight recurrence of the problem, and his been out of action since Boxing Day.
Speaking in his press conference on Friday, Mourinho confirmed that the 36-year-old has now returned to training.
“Zlatan started training with the team two days ago.
“So he has been two days with the group and is improving.”
United have been reliant on £75m summer signing Romelu Lukaku to lead the line in almost every game this season, however, the arrival of Alexis Sanchez could also lighten the load up front for United.
Ibrahimovic has been linked with making a move to MLS side LA Galaxy within the next month before the new season over in the United States.
United defenders Eric Bailly and Daley Blind are both expected to return from ankle injuries before the end of February, while midfielder Marouane Fellaini will not make his comeback until at least March as he recovers from knee surgery.
