Manchester United target Ivan Perisic could be a summer target for Barcelona as they look to replace the newly crowned worlds most expensive player, Neymar.
Neymar quit Barcelona two weeks ago, completing a world record £198m transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, a move which has left the Catalan club’s squad short on numbers, especially down the left hand side of their attack.
Liverpool forward Philippe Coutinho, and Borussia Dortmund’s Ousmane Dembele are believed to be the top targets for Barcelona, but face potentially being priced out of a move by the selling clubs.
Liverpool have point blank refused to sell their Brazilian playmaker so far, and have already knocked back bids of £72m and £90m, with Barcelona prepared to pay up to £110m to secure his services. Coutinho only signed a new five-and-a-half year deal back in January, and despite handing in a transfer request on Friday, Liverpool hold all of the power.
Barca have also had a bid rejected for Ousmane Dembele, who has since been suspended by Borussia Dortmund after failing to turn up to training earlier this week. Reports in Spain claim that Dembele is in fact Barcelona’s top target, and they will return with a bid of £127m for the French youngster.
However, if Barcelona fail in their attempts to sign either Coutinho or Dembele, reports in Italy clam they could be about to make a much less costly move for Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.
Perisic has been a summer target for Manchester United, but have so far yet to come to an agreement with the Italian club for the Croatians services.
Inter Milan have slapped an asking price of around £48m for the transfer of Perisic, something Barcelona could comfortably afford after the sale of Neymar, which was paid in full by the Ligue 1 club.
