Arsenal to bid for Chelsea and Liverpool target if Sanchez leaves

Arsenal are set to make Monaco winger Thomas Lemar their number one transfer target this month, according to reports in The Mirror.

As we said yesterday, Man City are increasingly confident of securing a £35 million deal to take Gunners star Alexis Sanchez to the Etihad, and Arsene Wenger will move to replace him quickly with highly-rated left winger Lemar.
The 22-year-old France international rose to prominence during his clubs superb run to the Champions League semi-final last season and has long been considered one of Europes top attacking talents.
Arsenal of course had a £90 million pound bid accepted for the player on the previous transfer deadline day, although a combination of the player not being ready to move, and a lack of time due to the lateness of the bid meant he stayed with the French side.
Chelsea and Liverpool have also been heavily linked with the player, and Monaco are said to be aware that any bid from The Gunners may well spark a bidding war between the Premier League rivals that would only drive the price they receive for the talented youngster up higher and higher.
