Arsenal ready to make £35million Lacazette move

Arsenal are ready to make a £35million move for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette.

According to Transfer Market Web, Arsene Wenger is planning to submit a €40m bid for the 26-year-old striker.

Lacazette’s future seemed all but certain with a summer move to Atletico Madrid already agreed. That was all before the La Liga club saw their appeal for their transfer ban rejected by he Court of Arbitration for Sport last week.

While Atletico could still go ahead and complete the deal, they would be unable to register the striker until January when their ban has expired. This would mean that Lacazette would miss five months of the season in the run up to next summer’s World Cup.

This has opened up he possibilities of Lacazette move elsewhere, rather than to Atletico Madrid. Borussia Dortmund have been linked, as have Liverpool, Manchester United, and Arsenal.

It is Arsene Wenger who looks like he could be about to make the first move with a £35m bid. Whether Lacazette will be willing to move Arsenal considering their lack of Champions League football is yet to be seen.

He is yet to also rule out a move to Atletico.
