Arsenal manager looks set to reignite his interest in Leicester star Riyad Mahrez in January.
The Gunners boss has been tracking the 2015/2016 season player of the year since his staring role in Leicester’s unlikely Premier League title triump.
After suffering a major dip in form last term the Algerian international has been back to his mercurial best this time around finding the net on six occasions and providing five assists in 19 appearances.
According to The Sun, Arsenal are preparing a move to bring him to the club next month.
Arsenal are looking for reinforcements in wide areas with Chilean star Alexis Sanchez set to exit the Emirates either in January or next summer, and Mahrez has proven during his time in the Premier League that he would be a more than adequate replacement.
The 26-year-old’s contract with Leicester runs until 2020 and he will not come cheap with Serie A side Roma having bids in the £40-45 million range turned down in the summer.
