Arsenal midfielder to be offered new four year deal

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere is set to be offered a new four year deal to stay at the club according to reports.

Wilshere was shipped out on loan to fellow Premier League side Bournemouth, making 27 appearances for the Cherries before his season was cut short after fracturing his leg in April. Those 27 appearances for the South Coast club was the most that Wilshere had made in andpy season since 2013/14 when he made 35 appearances for the Gunners.

Since then, his career has been blighted by a series of injuries which have stalled the 25-year-olds career.

He has now recovered from that fractured leg and has recently returned to the Arsenal first team, making appearances in the League Cup and Europa League wins over Doncaster and BATE Borisov respectively.

According to the Sunday People, his impressive displays in those fixtures have prompted Arsene Wenger to offer the England international a new four year deal, which he hopes will be agreed in the coming months.

Wilshere is just one of a number of stars who have been allowed to enter the final year of their contract at the Emirates, with Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil the most high profile names at the club who could leave for nothing next summer. However, Arsene Wenger will be hopeful that Wilshere will sign a new deal and will commit his long term future to the club.
