Arsenal defender attracting La Liga interest

Arsenal defender Gabriel is attracting attention from Valencia according to reports.

The London Evening Standard claim that the La Liga side are interested in signing the Arsenal defender, despite him being currently sidelined with an injury for around another month.

However, this has not put off Valencia boss, Marcelino, who when asked about Gabriel, as well as Inter Milan’s Jeison Murillo and Porto’s Ivan Marcano, he said:

“I think they are possible.

“We’re talking about important players who already know our league. They speak Spanish, and that’s important, so their adaptation would be very quick.”

Gabriel of course has experience of playing in La Liga, having only joined Arsenal from Villarreal back in January 2015, for a fee of £11.3m.

Since his move to the Emirates, he has made a total of 64 appearances for the Gunners, scoring one solitary goal for the club.
