Karim Benzema’s long-term future has been up in the air at times this summer, with reported interest from Manchester United earlier on in the window. However the frontrunners to sign the Frenchman have always been Arsenal, and they could yet land their man.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal’s interest in Benzema is genuine, and Madrid could be willing to part with one of their prized assets if the price is right – that figure is thought to be around the £45million mark, which for a man in his prime sounds fair.
For some reason Benzema isn’t as highly thought of at the Bernabeu as you’d expect, and we all know just how trigger happy Fiorentino Perez can be when it comes to player sales.
It would be brilliant to see a player of his calibre in the Premier League, and he’d certainly boost Arsenal’s chances at a Premier League title as a 25+ goal a season man is something they’ve been lacking for a while.
