Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang ahead of a potential £53m deal.
The Gabon International has been lined up to replace want away forward Alexis Sanchez, who is believed to be close to securing a move to Manchester United.
Aubameyang is finally being allowed to leave the Bundesliga club after a number of off the field disciplinary issues which have seen him being suspended on three occasions in the last 12 months.
According to the Daily Mirror, Arsenal have now agreed personal terms with the 28-year-old as a deal to sign the forward takes a step closer to being completed.
Reports recently have suggested that Dortmund are looking to receive €60m for the forward, although no deal has been reached between the two clubs.
Despite his off the field struggles, Aubameyang has still managed score 21 goals and provided three assists in his 23 appearances this season.
Arsenal are also in discussions to sign Manchester United’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan as part of the deal that will see Alexis Sanchez move to Old Trafford.
The Gunners’ new recruitment chief Sven Mislintat knows both Mkhitaryan and Aubameyang from his time at Borussia Dortmund and could be reunited with the pair during this window.
