Ancelotti: Renato Sanches could make Man Utd move

Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that Renato Sanches could leave Bayern Munich this summer.

The midfielder only moved to the Allianz Arena last summer when the Bundesliga champions beat Manchester United to the young midfielders signature.

United were believed to be leading the race for his signature 12 months ago, but confusion surrounding the managerial situation at Old Trafford allowed the German giants to swoop in for the Benfica starlet for a fee of £27.5m.

However, after failing to impress for during his first season, Carlo Ancelotti has admitted that Sanches could be allowed to leave.

“At this time, he’s training with us. We have to make a decision.

“”A move could be a possibility but there is also a chance he could stay with us for the season.”

Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge also recently admitted that Sanches is not guaranteed first-team football and would be allowed to leave

“He won’t get enough minutes at Bayern, so we’re willing to negotiate a loan deal and maybe beyond that,”

“If a club are interested in a Bayern player, they must be ready to deal with significant economic figures. We’ll say that it wouldn’t be bad if a £43million offer came in for him.”

Manchester United have once again been linked with making a move for Portuguese youngster, as have Serie A side AC Milan.

It is thought that any deal for Sanches could see 19-year-old leave the Allianz on an initial season long loan with an option to buy.

Sanches was named as the Young player of the Tournament for last summers European Championships after impressing for Portugal. He also won the 2016 Golden Boy award.

However since his move to Bavaria, he made just 25 appearances in all competitions, failing to score a single goal.
